Phoenix look to recover from Littlehampton defeat

Phoenix make the short trip to Beckenham Town on Tuesday night, with players and managers on both sides coming up against their former clubs.

Darren Anslow moved from BR3 to DA7 earlier in the season and was replaced by former Phoenix man Del Oldfield.

Anslow will be without Isaac Thompson, who is serving the second game of a three-match suspension after picking up a red card against Ramsgate just over a week ago. Jamarie Brissett faces a late fitness test after picking up a knock against Littlehampton on Saturday. Marcel Brown and Max Huxter remain unavailable.

Both Thompson and Brissett are part of a large contingent of former Beckenham players currently at Phoenix, which also includes Henry Griffin, Tyler Anderson, Ahkeem Belford, Bradley Pritchard, Dom Morgan-Griffiths, and Sam Freeman. Meanwhile, on the other side, former Phoenix defender Henry Douglas is currently plying his trade for Town.

Beckenham played for the first time in a month when they managed a creditable 0-0 draw with Sittingbourne at the weekend. Remarkably, they haven’t played a home game in 2025, with bad weather and pitch problems making it hard for Del Oldfield’s side to get going.

Beckenham are the last side Phoenix have yet to play at least once this season, and Darren Anslow will be focusing on ensuring his side bounces back from a hugely disappointing defeat against Littlehampton on Saturday with a positive performance.

Tickets are available from the turnstile by cash or card, with the match kicking off at 19:45.
